The Crocodile Marsh, the inner universe of a Parisian visual artist.

The Crocodile Marsh is an ancient stretch of water. Its surface is the colour of ripe fruit, and fragments of interrupted worlds sleep in its mud. The crocodiles guard what the marsh has not yet returned. 'I live on the small peninsula, in a glass block raised on stilts, at the edge of what lies submerged. By day, its walls reflect the reptiles; by night, the house glows like a lantern and can be seen from every shore. From there, I observe, gather, catalogue and transform what the marsh brings back to the surface: objects of protection, creatures, relics and traces of a memory without an archive.' — Adriane Amri
